Google Ads Conversion Tracking

Estimated time to complete: 1 minute
Requirements: The Call Now Button WordPress plugin, Google Ads Event snippet installed

What does the setting do?

The setting adds a tiny bit of code to the button that will inform Google Ads that a call attempt was made. More technical: it adds an onclick event to the Call Now Button that fires the conversion function.

In order for this to work, you need to have the Google Ads Event snippet installed on the page. Please head over to Google for more information on this: Track clicks on your website as conversions

Which option should I select?

This comes down to the type of Google Event snippet you have installed. There are 2 versions:

  • Conversion tracking with the Global site tag
  • Conversion tracking with JavaScript

Each option has a slightly different way to add the conversion tracking to the Call Now Button. Both options are added to the button.
