Generate an API key

Requirements: An account on NowButtons.com

If you website runs on WordPress, you can choose to manage NowButtons from the web app or directly from inside Wordpress.

To manage NowButtons from inside WordPress, you can upgrade the free Call Now Button plugin with an API key to activate it.

If you don't already have a NowButtons account, head over to https://app.nowbuttons.com/register to create one.

Step 1

Sign into your NowButtons account here.

Step 2

Now click on the profile icon to reveal the Account settings panel.

Step 3

Then click on the API keys box to expand the section.

Here you see an overview of your previously created API keys and you have the option to create a new one.

Step 4

Enter a random name that helps you remember in the future why you created the API.

Tip: Use the name or URL of your WordPress website to name your API key.

Step 5

Click Generate new API key to store the name and generate a unique new key.

Step 6

A modal will appear with the key. Make sure you copy and paste the code directly into the plugin as you will never see this key again. If you need it again you will have to generate a new key.
